Out of 21 tomato plants and 4 months of watering and tending, 1 (one) tomato flower has been successfully fertilized. I'm not even sure how, since it seemed pretty dried out

Turns out the tomato plants are doing this themselves. Can't leave them out in consistently hot weather for days (even with watering), otherwise they abort the flower blooms to prioritize survival over fruit production.

Who knows how many I've lost... I've already lost count.

Got the galaxy brain idea of using strings of HTML elements to pass around structured data between commands/programs in hypershell.

<ul> as sets.
<ol> as lists or arrays.
<dl> as dictionaries.
<table> as... tables.

Well, I wasn't accepted into the RSoC thing. So I guess I gotta find something else to do over the summer.

They've already cut off 4 or so of them, and imagining them doing that makes me flinch the same way as when a Pikmin is killed by being snapped in half :<

Tried to make progress on designing Aqua, but instead it feels like I've overdesigned it and backed myself into a corner. Maybe I'll just keep working on Rever for now.

Once I'm done with this one (and thankfully only) final, I'm binge-watching the Monogatari Series and catching up with everything I've missed.

My university just sent me a text alert to let me know that there's police activity in the area of... Dunkin Donuts.

I should really comment my code more often and leave notes on what I was doing so I'm not always worried about stepping away from a project and losing track of what I was doing.

Today I learned that laying in a comfy bed in the afternoon sun is... nice. Specially when I have a headache and can't get anything done.

Was looking around in the Yume Nikki countdown site and noticed that apparently-original art of the characters will begin appearing on the page starting January 18, and every day from then on.

Since Google reverse image search doesn't come up with anything, I can only assume that KIKIYAMA made them.

I won't post them here, but I've already spoiled myself and seen what they look like :p

Changed my login this morning too, and I can log in through my phone, but not into any of these computers.

Today on New Computers on Campus:
This all-in-one PC doesn't run at its display's supported timing.

Considering this cold weather, I'm probably going to stay in bed until classes start.

On the bright side, I learned a bunch of Rust and started several project ideas I had! RCC, hmsh, and my tiny OS project have been fun to work on when I'm not stuck. I'm learning 2 new languages, and started a conlang that I might share if I like how it ends up.

Maybe this year I should plan out my time more. It always feels like time is passing me by, while I'm just trying to enjoy the present. I'll try posting (to Mastodon) more, too.
