@3rik Well technically it's only sustainable if the driver eats sustainable food. In that sense it's more like the electrical car, still depending on sustainability of electricity production.
I was actually not referring to the energy but the technologies behind. If you have a "usual" bicycle it runs without proprietary bullshit or vendor lock-in, without DRM or tracking. Instead it is built in a #modular #design and with #replacable #components so you can bring it to any #repair shop or even fix it #yourself. That is what I call #sustainable #technology.
