Anybody have any suggestions of good international rap they like listening to? 80s era would be preferable, but anything would be nice.
@Altruest MC Solaar is the easy, popular answer.
@coolpowers thanks! I'll check him out.
@Altruest Subcarpati is really good you might like them?
@Altruest supreme NTM and iAM for French Rap. Mostly early 90s though.
@damien I've heard of iAM? But I'll check them both out, thanks!
@Altruest I got two. There's Radio Radio, who are from Nova Scotia and rap in Chiac (aka Acadian French with a lot of English loanwords): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7cRPH4lb8UI
@Altruest And there's TTC, some dudes from France who are a lot closer to fun-time 80s party rap in spirit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVUQ06LG5e0
@derek_g those are perfect, ttc is almost exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
@Altruest jovanotti started out as a rapper in Italian. Filip Kowlier of you want some exotica in a strange local dialect. His older group ''t Hof van Commerce' was more hop-hop. A more local and recent artist is Tourist LeMC.
@pvaneynd thanks! I'll check them all out.
@Altruest Do you like Reggae dub? There’s a German band called Seeed (yes, 3 e’s) That dubs in German and it is badass. New Dubby Conquerers is on of my favorite albums. (A fair amount of it’s in English, too, but I dig the Jamaican/German accent)
@Devils_Rancher I've never heard of it actually lol I'll check it out, thanks!
I find myself really enjoying when I can turn my brain off trying to figure out lyrics, and can listen to the rhythm of the words.
