Naw tho, I been telling you; fascism is not popular. It literally never has been popular. It's not a "populist movement" that's just some shit rich people and fascists told you to deflect blame and increase their credibility. This shit is like 70% rich nazi maggot astroturf and 30% racist paranoid grandpas who think the Senate should pass a law to force their estranged grandchildren to visit them and take their unhinged opinions seriously.

Like take the US, where I would say the fascism problem is more or less the most endemic in terms of it's increasing power and influence inside what is, objectively, a sham liberal democracy. If you look at the polling, the voting numbers, and more or less every piece of OBJECTIVE quantifiable evidence we have, it looks like we're talking about, at best, 1 in 4 Americans. Which is horrible, and can still fuck everything, but it's not by any reasonable measure "popular."
There is a reason they're disqualifying voters, there is a reason they're gerrymandering districts, there is a reason they spend literally billions of dollars pushing fascist propaganda and conspiracies into the collective discourse. And it's NOT because fascism is really popular and everyone around you already agrees with the nazis.

I know we're still in deep trouble but this is a much better outcome than I anticipated and I'm kinda more hopeful now
