There is another good example from Russia. The project is called Masyana and is currently crowd-sourced. It's about 20 years old (not always been crowdsourced though). The characters are growing with us, and they have kids now.

Unfortunately, to understand this project you need to know Russian language and Russian modern culture very well 🤔
