Beggar Midas

@MHowell @StillIRise1963 Nah. They haven't forgotten. They just don't believe y'all are capable of directed violence anymore. They're pretty sure you've been so thoroughly domesticated that you'll accept the yolk & take the bit, even if you buck at first. Looks like they might be right.

@kinsale42 Bless you. Didn't realize until now i'd misspelled it. Or maybe my autocorrect boned me yet again. It does that sometimes with words & phrases that don't see a lot of mileage. But thank you for catching & correcting it!

@Beggarmidas hmmm I think they underestimate how violent people in this country are. I see and I just work in a library. I’m always shocked at what people will fight over. Seriously. I think the problem is there’s often no target. They may figure out who the targets are. @MHowell @StillIRise1963

@Danetteb @MHowell @StillIRise1963 Problem isn't so much that. Most of the time violence is a spontaneous reaction. Folks lash out. They don't track down. They may be spontaniously moved to anger & do a stupid thing that puts 'em away for life. But most won't spend a week shadowing & profiling someone they know for a fact are shitting in the lives of others & put 'em down. Ask yourself why if people are so naturally violent that cult leaders or those ENRON assholes live to ripe old ages.

@Beggarmidas I will also add (I’ve been thinking about this all day) most people go after someone more vulnerable. That’s why they shoot up schools or shoot public places or domestic violence is so prevalent. People in this country put their anger and violence towards the wrong people . Some commit suicide rather than fight the people that did the damage. This country is full damaged people @MHowell @StillIRise1963

@Danetteb @MHowell @StillIRise1963 Those usually break down to two subtypes. Zone trippers & ungovernable rage. The former can never be directed for long. They're all about indulging a need to inflict blood & pain & death at the lowest hanging fruit. Bring more heat than value. Avoid 'em. Best thing that can happen to that type is becoming an unsolved missing persons report. Latter can be great resistance fighters but usually takes an experienced alpha dog bouncing some sense into 'em.1/2

@Danetteb @MHowell @StillIRise1963 2/2 As for the solitary exit cases, I have no practical guidance or insight to offer. I wonder that myself all the time. Maybe it's just the kind of mad that can't go anywhere but inwards. But admittedly i'm more old school in my aggressive sensibilities. I don't think most folks think much in terms of taking the fight to the enemies doorstep. Maybe it's a squeamishness thing. *shrug* Probably a question better suited for the head peepers.

@Beggarmidas @MHowell @StillIRise1963 CEO of United Health probably believed that too, until today.

@drtuck @MHowell @StillIRise1963 Playing a numbers game against people far better at weighing calculated risks than you or anyone you know are by seven country miles. If it happens once its an outlier. Twice it's a coincidence. Three times? over what span? If under a year it could be an emergent trend. They do not respond to negligible risks. They can't or they'd bankrupt themselves trying to cover the millions of fractional risks abundantly available. You must become more than a fractional risk

@drtuck @MHowell @StillIRise1963 I used to work for the bastards off & on back in the day. Being a man-wall piece of walking furniture between them and the general public gave me a fly-on-wall perspective to a lot of how they actually think & operate. You want to make headway against them then take what I have to say under serious operational considerations.
