Feel bad about complaining : my job is dull AF but pays the bills and means I can own my own house. Would rather work on music and writing 5 days a week but it's walking on thin ice trying to make a living from that

I have mixed feelings about the dentist, I'm not a big fan of drills in my mouth, but have the great privilege to be able to easily afford it now (vhi). Same with health care, being Irish I pay *nothing* to see my psychiatrist and my meds are crazy cheap (terrible pun, so sorry). Have such sympathy for peeps in USA denied guaranteed care :(

Just learned last night about 'serotonin syndrom', if you are on ssri's, snri's or anything that effects serotonin levels be careful when considering illicit drug usage. Sadly ssri's + Lsd (generally a *safe* drug) can be fatal (!). Please don't just take my word for it, go a googling and be a responsible drug user.

I seeing people speak authentically here, not just hashtags and bandwagons. Nothing wrong with that, some of it is even necessary for creating conversations, but more voicing their thoughts in their own ways. Even without seeing their handle I can spot people by their vernacular, it's nice. Long may it continue.

Imagine your childhood friend from Canada/Belgium (its mostly USAian's and French here?) and you know about their country, their family, their uncles house in the countryside, you've eaten food with them and given gifts on appropriate holidays. Its really heartbreaking to see war inflicted upon them and their country described clinically in the news. Yeah i'm taking an internet break RN.

When I was a child my neighbors were Syrian immigrants. This was over a decade before the entire world media and a load of athiest-f**kboys had decided that muslims were evil so they were just my neighbours with better food and a similar religion. The second eldest son visited Syria two years ago to visit family. I've never been (although had been planning to) and I don't think I will be anytime soon :(. when I hear about awful happenings, its not *so* remote 2 me and gets me down.
