Seeing a lot of takes like ^oh mastodon will never work, it will never take off, it will never eclipse *birdsite*, it's too complicated^. Apart from my belief that it could be made easier to understand and use I LITERALLY do not care if it never has a billion users or lasts a million years: right now, this moment, it has been a place where I have had interesting interactions with people, found new art and music to care about and that's what matters. Nothing is eternal, the Temporal matters.
