While I'm thinking about reports:
The moderators on mastodon.social are ONLY moderators on mastodon.social. We don't have any authority over the behavior of users on other instances.
If you're reporting a user on another Mastodon instance, please remember to check the box that sends your report on to the remote instance's administrators.
There are many Mastodon instances with which your home instance federates but which you might not want to see in your timelines. Fortunately, you can hide all toots from a given instance.
1) In your home instance's web interface, open the account of a user on the server you wish to hide.
2) At the bottom of their profile, next to their follower/following stats, is a "..." menu. Click that.
3) At the bottom of the new context menu, click "Hide everything from <instance>".
How to tag images with nudity or graphic violence:
When you upload an image, an "eye" icon appears under the post window, between the privacy settings icon and the CW icon.
Click that eye icon so it turns blue and gets a strike through it.
You've now done everything you need to do.
