Having some top notch biscuits and gravy at biscuitbitch.com/

Then going on a hunt to find this massive cargo ship in the bay komonews.com/news/local/larges

It's a very day ha

Finally a day off work, we'll a morning off.. I work from home andgive myself Saturday morning and all day Sunday to pull away from it all.

Normally spend this time reading and prepping to run Finding and first. got some white widow and gorilla glue #4 to have with the French press.

is up first. I've got a session coming up on Wednesday, Tuesdays session doesn't need as much prep. I'm truly sandboxing that until I get the pact worlds book.

Found this crazy article on pygmy sloths that swim in the ocean? biographic.com/posts/sto/keepi

When I was in the third grade back in we went to the zoo and there was a Sloth loose in the rain-forest part that we pet haha. Pretty sure one shouldn't pet sloths but meh, I'm here telling the story right?

It was a weird creature. The idea of giant sloths roaming the lands always sent my mind reeling too. That would be scary. Like finding a Snorlax.

My main game growing up was fantasy battles, I played a wicked gunline, so fun. Since then I've gone all over the map playing indie and skirmish games of all kinds. Avoiding for some reason or other. .

They've recently teased the new army for though and it's really slick, the are here and they've got shark and eel riders as well as massive magical turtle barges.. I mean what else do you need to know? haha

My taste is unique to say the least, I guess it's called 'bass music' and it's a type of lowtempo full of samples and highly engineered bass noises. There's a strong vibe and scene in and around it. Try this mix on for size, better with more bass of course but it's a good example of the kind of 'chill' or vibe that the music carries.

I work with this blaring away in the headphones. What do you guys think of it?

www.todoist.com is underrated. I use it to offload all the things & stuff in my life. Get it listed and tracked, I can comment on it and set weekly reminders as well as set tasks aside with an alert for a few months later to dive in.

I fill it with quotes that motivate me and have them recurring throughout the month as tasks. it's top notch for that kind of thing and for tracking\reminders on bills, errands and such.

About to make a project for Work to try and get the workplace chaos listed.

Not going to lie, I'm about to have my second three shot of the day. To be fair I've been pulling 10 hour development shifts for the new company. They rented us a condo but the downside is we work in the office, go home eat and end up working again. Can't wait to fly home Thursday night.

Super noob at wine, the lady and I don't drink regularly, choosing instead. Trying to learn more about wine so I can pair it with food and be all snobby about it haha.

So far my favorite has been Montepulciano or other more full bodied reds.

I'm kicking around an idea for a tabletop setting post apocalyptic\fantasy-esque. So far I've got a race of mushroom people and one of Hippo folk.

It's going to be an interesting world indeed. I wish I could sit down and spin a ton of time into it. But life calls. Always something to develop or spend the time on!

The continued success of small time kickstarters running has me motivated to get my name on a book and contribute to some worlds.

Dungeons and Dragons is like the miller high life of beers. Yeah. I know it's popular, it's prevalent and available right? it's easy to learn fine, everyone is doing it that's okay. I'm still going to sip a whiskey in the corner with other tabletop RPGs. Like and so many more, they focus a good deal on the world building and the setting. not to mention some intellectual crunch is added to keep my mind occupied.

For those who haven't tried a tabletop , loook into it!

Chambique boosted

@Chambique Check in hashtags for stuff that interests you. Make and introduction if you haven't. Follow people that's been around a while and follow the people they boosts, people drop in and out and following all new people tend to leave your feed a bit lethargic.

Stay active, respond to people, seek out conversations.

It is what you make of it, so try to actively make something out of it.

I've got to relocate to Vegas for work but I'm not a 'Vegas' person.. it's going to be rough without forests and rain and such. but there's got to be something good down here in the desert.

Looking at a zen temple and some salsa lessons to take the lady to. Found a few book clubs and started looking into the camping and hiking all around the city.

Of course people already want to visit because 'the strip' aye.. life keeps things interesting indeed.

heyo, good morning my mastadon folk. Still tinkering with the what and the how of this open source micro blogging thing. Maybe I'll build an app for it?

I do like the longer word limit, to have 500 words and the absence of corporate advertising and bots makes it pretty swell.

How do you use mastadon? Any suggestions for a noob?

All of my opinions, thoughts and ideals are subject to change with the proper evidence or argument of course. I try to be humble about the things I do and don't know. Well aware that there's is more that I don't know than that which I do. It's a comfortable position and a curious one as I'm constantly testing ideals and the like and reshaping them. Leading me down a path for sure but which one? who cares.

Just felt like I should say something on humility.

I'm just a guy. Dabbling in NAV development and Consulting, Fiction and poetry writing and self-improvement\zen\stoicism I dig trippy psychedelic bass music :-) like The Widdler, Truth and Ganga White Knight

How do folks go about choosing what to seriously invest time in? It feels as though there are a hundred options and weighing out the pros and cons can almost halt progress entirely. Is it better to dedicate to a few projects to really see them through or spend some time on all the projects. I'm guessing it's more the former. Simplify has been my word for 2018. I was using far too many task lists and project things.

I started writing some poetry, well I guess you could call it poetry. It's words aligned in a way by me that semi rhyme ha, sharing it on instagram as _trashpoems ha, kind of cheesy maybe. But my grandfather was a poet in his later years and something about getting a few lines down makes me feel some of his vibes. He would write poems for his seven daughters and plethora of grandchildren's events and life occasions. I don't know much about formal poetry but it's been cool to give it a shot.

I'm down in for the week working away in the office. We've got all the developers locked up in a room getting shit done this week. I'm using it as an opportunity to dive into Mastadon. I like the long 500 word format actually. It really feels like an idea can be portrayed.

It's strange for me to be in vegas because I'm not a 'vegas' person, rarely do I partake in the booze and I don't enjoy swathes of tourists haha but I'm sure there are other aspects to enjoy here in the desert

I love tabletop or as they're called. I'm currently running and campaigns and eager to run more but three is the limit I think or at least the limit to successfully GM. it's a lot of story to write to keep three groups rolling the sandbox elements of my games and my improv theater of the mind style help but I'm definitely gaming again these days with 1-2 nights a week weaving stories. It's such a primal thing to be creative in small groups.

Thinking about the type of things and stuff I'd like to share or use this platform for. I've got some twitter accounts that are more dedicated to a niche thing. It's tempting to just make a general account here while I dabble to figure out what Mastadon is all about. I only just learned about it form hacker news.

If ya'll are in IT and don't know the site hackerNews please do google that beast and take a look. There is so much that can be learned.
