I just discovered that someone made a piece of fanart for one of my stories O_O that's never happened to me before. Strange news feelings of creative achievement!
I got to the gym today, 11 days after last time and for the first time since it started to snow here. The snow makes it significantly less appealing to go out and walk someplace where I will wear myself out, before having to walk back again. But it was also a sunny and beautiful day, so there you are. Health!
Today's Sortes Vergilianae:
"Pack it away!" he shouts. "Whatever you've started, set it aside, my Cyclops of Etna, bend to this! Armor must be forged for a man of courage! Now for strength, you need it! Now for flying hands! Now for mastery, all your skill! Cast delay to the winds!"
Well, my base in XCOM 2 was just attacked by aliens, so I guess that fits.
GDocs is down and I feel very satisfied to have stuck with writing in a word processor and saving my files on my own computer like a neanderthal.
I finished a novel a couple of weeks ago, 4 years+ in the making. I have been too exhausted to be proud, and mostly been thinking "okay, but what's the *next* thing I'm gonna work on?"
Something tells me I should learn to be happier with myself...
I have just come home from a book signing, I spent three hours in line and a lotta money but those will make some damn nice xmas presents.
BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARN <- the sound of someone running across the subway tracks.
Sometimes I hear the subway horn blare and I know someone is running across the tracks.
Fun fact: Birds are an optical illusion.

Sortes Vergilianae on my trying out Mastodon: "That said, the terrible goddess swooped down to the earth and stirred Allecto, mother of sorrows, up from her den where nightmare Furies lurk in hellish darkness." GEEZE VIRGIL.
I'm in now? This is very confusing. But I'm gonna give this a try, because, well, you know why.
