@Damage last night I was mentioning the (numerous) bugs of Malaysia - here's a link to a fruit fly, but there are plenty of others (alas, I can't read any Malay and the Environment Ministry website is mostly in Malay since the 1990s)
The fruit fly is more colourful than most filth flies - (If you want more species, Hong Kong environment ministry has a load on their website and it is in English).
