Masto feels like it's grinding to a halt server-speed-wise
Unfortunate
@DarkestKale tusky tries it's best but it's definitely in need of more work
@DarkestKale ...depends on the instance, it feels fine on here...
@DarkestKale that’s bound to happen when it has a spurt of curious people.. I hope they can keep up
@DarkestKale
It is /was a thing earlier, cpu on the instance box was struggling, should ve better now than it was. Next few days or week should see improvements
@DarkestKale It’s probably due to the massive influx on the flagship instance (Mastodon.social). Once users migrate to other instances, you should see your speed improve if you’re using Mastodon.social. I definitely do recommend checking out the various instances to see what’s about!
@Yarideki yah, tho I'll lose the followers I have which is extremely suboptimal
@DarkestKale True. While not a perfect solution, if you follow the majority of your followers you could export your following list to the new instance. However, it’s still up to those users to follow back once they get the notification that your new account followed them.
Unfortunately, there isn’t an easy way to pick up and move everything (including current followers). However, such a thing could really open up a new can of worms.
@Yarideki oh, I'm usually very asynchronous with my followers vs who I follow.
Certainly, the tusky app feels very slow
