Watching 'How it's made' shows and being firmly reminded that American manufacturers have extremely different approaches to safety
@DarkestKale I love 'how it's made' shows, even though they present an extremely abridged version most of the time. Still fascinating to see some of the process!
@DarkestKale I work in industrial construction and you would not believe the stories I've heard from the safety guys and from people trying to get around the safety guys. When your focus is on money over people, it's not going to end well

@Stoney complete lack of safety guards on any rolling equipment, pretty much every episode involving candy or rubber
Especially when you see people pushing things into those rollers. Hand crunches in their future.
Here in Aus we are far more intense on the need for guards and so forth.
