THE DORFS ARE BACK IN TOWN
(A new run of DF forts, in which we name dwarfs after volunteers and watch them all die because I can't military for shit)
Going to let it generate ~125 years of history.
I feel this is a good amount. Too long, and all the beasts die off. Too early, and the place just doesn't have enough juicy stuff
Worldgen is complete.
Big world - very big. Looks like we have a polar ice cap in the south too, so that's great
A few different landmasses, which will also be pretty awesome
The map's taller than it is wider, which seems odd to me?

Alright. Worldgen's complete, so we're ready to go

Time to find a starting point!
We're gonna go on easy mode now, so we're looking for a river, sand, clay, and ore
This location has the things we want, no aquifer, AND a few neighbouring civs (which we want for raids, etc!)
So looks like we're pretty set already!
Actually, just a bit of haunted ground to the north.
We're gonna avoid that
Always check the additional biomes folks
Embark setup in progress.
Mostly the changes include lots of plump helmets, and taking some birds for their eggs
Can't quite remember what else I always take with me.
Guess we'll find out when I post about my fuckups later, eh?

Pretty sweet.
Lots of sand, which is good, can be used as soil, etc.
Glass industry as well. I think I also see clay in there which is also fine

Really hope we get some necromancy action in this world
So our starting parameters for worldgen are basically everything except history turned up WAY HIGH - minerals, savagery, sites, etc
