Back to work on Monday. bleh. But bills must be paid. We are about to begin watching the new Jumangi movie, though, so I'm looking forward to that. :)

Been a while. Busy writing the third chapter of my third novel, REDEMPTION'S PRICE, to Kurzel's Assassin's Creed soundtrack - what're you all up to?

Watching Nocturnal Animals - damned riveting so far.

Let's talk about A.I. and the fact that, barring a massive increase/boost in computing power, we are still very, very far away from enjoying/witnessing what 'it' can/will do.

What should A.I. be used for? How could its use be regulated?

My good friend, and fellow photographer, Mel Sinclair, has lost her house, and her dogs in a house fire this week. She is devastated (mostly at the loss of her dog, which is understandable).
A donation page has been set up here: gofundme.com/sinclair-house-fi

If you have some spare dollars, she and her parents would greatly appreciate it.

My post:

I'm a bookseller and writer, in-between publishers and busy writing my third novel - also busy with what might become an important non-fiction project.

I'm a DC and Marvel fan, sometimes play guitar, and used to draw, before I began writing. Anything else about me, in short, is at davedeburgh.com

I really enjoyed Suicide Squad, but The Enchantress dancing all the time while summoning whatever remains hilarious... :) Have to wonder what was going through Cara's mind, set against that green screen, moving like that until the take was just right.

I'm planning on learning more . We started picking up some signs for the kiddo, and I'm realizing that it's a useful language to know. Plus, kiddo is in the language-acquisition phase, and so maybe we can learn together.

What a day. Shouldn't have had that energy-drink... Hope you're all well!

When I joined masto, I gravitated towards following creative peeps and noticed a thing that's pretty common to all of us: we feel guilty for promoting places that people can buy our work or otherwise support us financially. So I started the hashtag for that very reason. Got an Etsy page? Online store? Patreon? Selling a piece of art? Throw that tag on it. Do it with unfettered abandon. Everyone else: Look at that tag for artists to support. Buy their stuff. Help them create. <3

Twitter is raging rapids and screams, while Mastodon is a cool picnic with cool people. Can you tell I'm enjoying it? ;)

Already seeing cool lingo - soon we'll be able to ask, "Do you toot on Masto?" :)

How are you all today? Day can only get better on my side, so I can't complain. :)

So, someone on Twitter is going after Stephen King for not writing a book about the evils of Apartheid... Someone small and clueless, but man... *head-desk*

Mastodon.ART is a great place to go if you make or love visual arts, and @Curator is well worth following even if you don't make an account there.

wandering.shop and writing.exchange and tootplanet.space are all lovely for writers.

A bibliophile? Maybe try bookwitty.social

Really, REALLY hate the letter E? oulipo.social of course!

Want nothing BUT the letter E? dolphin.town has you covered.

Look around, there are literally hundreds to choose from!

Hi, I'm Angela, and I write dark fiction (horror, fantasy, sci-fi). I love gaming, my kids, and my cats.

Right, on my way home - be good to each other, folks.

Thanks for the follow, @FordBurley - and agree, good to have those writers here, too. :)

to the audiobook of Orb, Scepter, Throne from Esslemont (yep, huge fan here) and (among others) The Core by Peter V Brett. What about the rest of you?
