Under the part… I was part of an operation at a train station today. One unlucky guy got a fine for entering the station while not having a ticket. At the end of the 30 minute stop by rail staff, he still couldn’t get home. In the end one of my team paid for a ticket home for him. Stuff like that doesn’t get shared enough.

Not the same but there are similarities when Trump expected 10s of thousands to attend his rally, and put on an extra stage to cater for everyone, only it was K-Pop fans who had worked together to book 1000s of tickets.

We are learning more and more about how hackers can be force for good, most especially since Russia’s Invasion. It is like the concept has suddenly shifted and the power of these guys and girls using technology for good, has come as quite a refreshing perceptive paradigm shift.

I got 3 favourites on a post, I think that is going viral here!

Mastodon's monthly active user numbers have risen by 84,579 since the Twitter buyout story broke on Monday (and I do mean across the Mastodon network, not this server)

It has only been 24 hours, but there is a definite positivity and innocence here that crawled away from Twitter many years ago.

#infosec fellas who ended up on the overloaded mastodon.social and mastodon.online instances!

Give them a break and migrate to one of the infosec focused instances:

EU citizens, remember that you have the right to be forgotten. If you’re closing your Twitter account, you can write to them and tell them to delete your data and your account permanently and they must comply. You don’t have to leave your data with Musk if you don’t want to.

I have followed a random series of accounts to liven up my timeline. Feel free to follow. In the end I didn’t send much out on twitter, and auto deleted every week. Hopefully this will be a more positive back and forth as opposed to twitters duck and cover.

I am looking for news, sports, politics accounts to follow. Female journalists especially. Any recommendations welcome!

I was on twitter during the same phase as we are in now, here. When it was charming and friendly. Hope this will stay this way. People sharing things that interest them.

So my I am here to see if it can be an alternative to twitter. Not sure what the decentralised part of this endeavour will mean for the future. Interested to see though.
I am a single dad, work in London in law enforcement, and have left leaning views. Believe in free speech with consequences. Be nice and make the world a better place.

Ok like many people I have just left Twitter and am looking for a new home. Fingers crossed I found it.
