"My problem with contact tracing apps is that they have absolutely no value," - Bruce Schneier

"I'm not even talking about the privacy concerns, I mean the efficacy. Does anybody think this will do something useful? ... This is just something governments want to do for the hell of it. To me, it's just techies doing techie things because they don't know what else to do."

@Decentralize_today That thing of «techies doing techie things because they don't know what else to do» sounds like a possible future me (if I become successful). 😢

@avalos @Decentralize_today nah, techies can do good work and make the world a better place. But it won't happen with code alone, its about collaboration with other professions, experts and workers.

But the fetish with tecno-solutions is complete BS that never works in the long run.

If you don't wanna become part of the problem don't ask your boss for approval, ask your coworkers and community members for their needs.
