It's not just Schumer. Dems have no idea how to mount a meaningful resistance. It's just BAU with them while the US descends into a Constitutional crisis. Hand the keys of the party to AOC, please!

Second, Obama gets a pass, he's "retired".
But Biden and Harris were holding themselves up to be POTUS, the leader of our party and democracy, less than 12 months ago.
You don't just lose a close election, that you should/could have won, and go away and abdicate symbolic leadership, inspiring the base, and non-voters.
To just walk away and be quiet suggests neither was worthy of being POTUS. Trump certainly is not.

@DoNotPunchDown @jab01701mid @augieray Carter set a high bar for what a former president can be his post-presidency work was incredible. As for Obama, I get that he’s ‘retired,’ but do you think he should be more vocal given the current political climate? Some argue his influence is still needed.

Personally, i really don't give af what he has to say. He was the biggest disappointment in my life. I don't believe a word out of his mouth and haven't since the FISA vote. Though i still had high hopes he'd do the right thing in the oval.
But he's one of the very few people in an exclusive club, with immeasurable influence. Of course he should get involved. Not doing so kind of proves the point he wasn't in this for the American people
