Finally, i3 is working exactly the way I want it to! No more juggling workspaces trying to find an open instance of an app, or struggling to remember what app was in which number workspace. Need the terminal? Just go to Mod+T for the terminal workspace. Emacs? Mod+E. Did I have LibreOffice open? Mod+W, and if it's not there, open it with dmenu. Need a reference window? Mod+R, and move any needed windows--browser, spreadsheets--into the workspace with Mod+Shift+R. Most workspaces have assigned monitors, but if I need one to be in a different monitor I just type Mod+1 for primary and Mod+2 for the secondary. This suits my workflow perfectly and it was a remarkably smooth experience configuring it, despite some trial-and-error.

Was there a reason why 90's Mac files were uploaded to the net as hqx'ed StuffIt archives when the hqx version was significantly larger than the actual .sit file? :blobcatthinking2:

#Happy1600000000 seconds since 1970-01-01!!

$ date -d @1600000000 +%FT%T

That's half an hour ago if you're counting in UTC. The next even hundred million seconds will be in November 2023, so it's not a super rare ocurrence. After all, it's happened 16 times in the 50 years since @0. πŸ˜€

Practicing the replace-string function by replacing the fucking seashells with a term that makes a hell lot more sense, the equivalent of "terminal entry" in Korean.

No, Emacs Korean manual, calling a "shell" a literal "seashell" in Korean is just confusing and distracting, stop it!

@srol @polychrome I also spent so much time here! Also on one called the lurker's guide and WB's IRC server for B5.

The 1996 website for #Babylon5 is mostly archived and I love it.

Click the big logo to enter because that's how we used to roll back on the day.

This reveals (or reminds) fun things like how Warner Bros used to host an official IRC server for fans of their shows and 360" panoramas of the sets in Quicktime VR.

It's my new #tilderadio show. It'll air at 1pm UTC on Mondays. It's an hour long auditory chill zone where we step onto the Enterprise D lounge for a bit of relaxation. No talking, no sudden noises, just some nice drone and a bit of soft background chatter.

@FiXato ok so quick test in chrome... en_US set results in German on Google Maps. en_US and nl_NL set results in English πŸ˜‚ so there does seem to be a case for that

Right, tonight just isn't going to happen.
Time to brush teeth and stumble to bed.

Hah, that bit at the end of the episode with the father answering the phone just as Adam proclaims he's got Dog to walk on its hind legs, is brilliant!
