As is the case with all mass surveillance: it turns out access to all that information is waaaay more useful as an instrument of abuse and control than it is as a way to effectively protect people from genuine fraud.
@FuckOffGoogle In JPMorgan's case they had a bottom line and a way to measure the results, so they dropped Palantir like a hot potato. When it's government bureaucrats with no spending other people's money with no measurable results, they'll just keep giving handing more money and data over to Palantir and others like them.
