@Gargron it won’t. Trump’s MO is to do the worst thing possible, reverse it during bipartisan backlash, but keep around terrible, but less newsworthy, policies.
Just watch. ICE will stay and they’ll still deny asylum seekers.
Of course you don't need a personal relation to a thing to feel empathy or know right from wrong, but my own experience immigrating as a child makes this all very vivid.

I wasn't saying 'I was just following orders' should absolve them, but it should be a factor in their guilt, since it is a type of coercion.

Besides the point that "i hope heads roll" is not meant literally (google it if you do not believe me).
There is a breaking point where the abuse of humans becomes so bad that violent action in defense these humans becomes necessary.
Ripping children from their families and putting them in cages? Pretty darn close to that breaking point.
And that this abuse is lawful makes this WORSE, not better.
