@slackz Okay I'm like super paranoid but I would not accept food from strangers at an event like that...
@slackz I think you got me wrong, it's not about preferences of eating alone, it's about the risk of poisoned food being distributed.
@Gargron i get it. That's not the threat. The threat is the white nationalist Proud Boys circling our perimeter and the cops (not our pizza delivery).
But we have anti-fascist security contingents doing stellar work, and activists here are used to lookin out, keeping each other safe. Been to a lot of actions, eaten a lot of camp pizza. Never heard of someone beimg poisoned. Lol this is not the most pressing threat vector here
@hypolite @slackz "If I wanted to disperse a blockade of a government agency and had no moral reservations, what would be the fastest way to accomplish that? Laxative in their possibly unmonitored food supply would force them all to go home"
I mean, it's a theoretical worry. But I also definitely heard other protesters in the past give out advice against accepting food handouts at events.
@Gargron we have comrades everywhere. Ppl donating food, supplies, pizza delivery from supporters for days.
Lol totally respect your prefs there but there's noe families coming to stay in camp. In our community we eat together. We lock down together :)
