Sent a bunch of people spoiling Game of Thrones warnings (and reports if they're from other servers, so their admin knows).

Maybe spoilers are a minor infraction in the grand scheme of things, but it's still a dick move.

All spoilers, not just GoT. It's kind of sad that people have to run to the cinema on premiere night just so they can use social media again, or avoid it otherwise.

@gargron Pshhh, it doesn't ruin anything to know ahead of time that Podrick kills Thanos.

@Gargron I just posted a Star Trek V spoiler but I think I'm good.

@Gargron On a website where it is so trivial to CW the spoiler, it is an especially dickish move.

@Gargron the other workaround is to be fortunate enough that you are mostly not interested in the most popular movies and series anyway. 😅

But I feel with you, I hate spoilers for my entertainment as well.

very unpopular opinion on “spoilers”

@Gargron dude, think about it twice imho 🤔
Ppl talk about their daily things on social media (that’s why they’re here)...
Should they shut up because some other choose to watch it later?
(P.S.1. Of course I meant they should be nice and using CW

P.S.2. I personally am not interested in any of the viral things atm not GoT nor avengers

P.S.3. Ultimately you see some newspapers talking about hot-shit while it’s “hot”, you can’t sue them for that either)

very unpopular opinion on “spoilers”

Another extra thing I see necessary to point 😅

Of course I have never spoiled something for anyone (nor I have problems if someone does it on me 🙂)...

All I’m saying is we sure be fair towards both sides and don’t get emotionally reacting 🙂

@Gargron @CM_noelle

Then why are you threatening to ban people for talking about Endgame, which is out and has hundreds of spoiler reviews out in the mainstream press now.

Is young girls being sold for prostitution ok on, but I can't talk about a popular movie without either self-censorship or immediate banning?

That's the jerk move, if you want to put it in crude terms.

@Gargron @CM_noelle

Remember when cws were introduced, we were told they would be purely voluntary?

But now are cws mandatory for a completely undefined category of "spoilers"?

How "voluntary" is that?

Please do not misuse your censorship powers to force your personal opinion about movie spoilers onto everyone else.

Otherwise, you are being much more restrictive and uncool than Twitter or Facebook.

@Gargron this is particularly egregious because of the ability to hide spoilers with Mastodon.
