Discussions yesterday helped us identify several important issues, the culprit of most was a lack of communication; I and a dedicated team of contributors are now working on potential solutions. It has become clear that information does not reach the masses, sometimes not even the contributors: so we want to improve communication here on #mastodon, and off-site (Patreon, Github, Discord etc). We also want to make it easier for you to give your feedback via a dedicated feedback channel/platform.
Moving forward we are also looking to fill several roles in the project with more permanent positions, to name a few ideas (not set in stone): Project Manager, Developer Coordinator, Public Relations, and Community Outreach. How we will go about to fill these positions have not been decided yet, but we are looking to make it an open and transparent process. Feedback, regarding all and any of this, can be directed at @maloki for now. Long form posts will come soon to further elaborate.

As someone who survived (and even occasionally enjoyed) thesis writing not long ago, I can appreciate the time required, and I wish you the best of luck! :-)
@bstacey I am kinda loving it tbh. Just didn't get much writing done in the past 2 weeks, becaue i pushed 10hrs on my birthday (for other stuff) and my CFS was like "nuh uh".

@maloki dunno if this is counted under Community Outreach since it's more inward-facing, but if you're in need of some kind of inclusion consultant I'd be interested (especially if it pays some amount).
@creatrixtiara That's great! I think we'll be looking at several ways of giving back to contributors, but I can't say too much yet since there's no consensus. :)

@Gargron @maloki It's good to see you making these changes. One thing I think needs to be very clear is whether these are paid or volunteer positions. I'm almost certain they're volunteer, but permanent positions with Capital Letters may lead some people to think otherwise, and it's wise to nip that in the bud.
