Hey all the folks who are new to mastodon.social: Did you realize Mastodon has custom emojis? And that this server has an amazing selection of emojis, such as:

Ahhhh also since the default setting is that GIFs do not autoplay, maybe you'll want to go into preferences and toggle "Autoplay GIFs" because this friend is actually animated
@Gargron As someone with epilepsy, I am extremely thankful for the option to turn autoplaying gifs off in the first plays, let alone that being the default 👍
@Gargron would it be possible to apply the "mouse over to animate" thing to emoji as well? or at least have a separate setting for autoplaying animated emoji as opposed to autoplaying media embeds?
@ctrlaltdog @Gargron same. I would never turn on autogif play for general gifs, too many things people can do I don't want to see. Animated gifs I might be willing to enable if it was a separate option.
