@Gargron after that episode it struck me that he is a reborn Buffy. Ok, so when Buffy was first out I was like 22 (ok, I was 22...) and we were totally addicted, but without that main character it would have collapsed.... kindof just what you're saying BUT 20 YEARS LATER! (I still watch it every time though)

@Gargron It's almost built on a reverse Scooby-Doo model. Instead of getting a case solved and 'couldn't have done it without you meddling kids...' we get a solved case and a really random twist tagline.
but we know Lucifer will still care about Chloe, and he's a really nice guy, even if notionally evil, so... well, I'll watch it next week. :)
