@Gargron Maybe have something salty. My sister and I get dizzy when we haven't eaten enough sodium. If you have bouillon cubes, drop one into a hot mug of water -- they have 1000mg of sodium (of your 2500 mg recommended daily value).

@Gargron @djsundog Ah, I wondered if it could be vertigo. Hope you feel better by now.

@katebowles @djsundog no, it's still continuing

I don't have a fever. But i was shaking (maybe panic though), so i took some valerian to calm down

@katebowles @djsundog i had (seemingly) surface - level chest pains all day since i woke up, so I'm a bit paranoid...

I was sprinting yesterday without any preparations or exercise. I could've fucked a muscle up. But who knows...

@Gargron @katebowles @djsundog try stretching. when it's unusually difficult to do so that tends to correlate with illness

@Gargron Was it the beginnings of a panic attack? Most panic attacks come out of nowhere, that's the majority of them. Hope you're feeling better now, pal!!!

@Gargron Get well soon and have some refreshing alpha rhythms!

@Gargron It's a blood pressure thing bro, you need water and cardio.

@Gargron Yeah, systolic blood pressure below 110 is normally associated with dizziness when standing up. Some more cardio will help your body regulate that better, assuming you're healthy otherwise.

@busyboredom @Gargron water and salt are the building blocks for letting your body raise your blood pressure if it drops below healthy levels (assuming you have good kidneys to flush any excess sodium that is)

Cardio is good for your heart overall & therefore good for bloodflow but doing it when you’re dehydrated can compound the issue so fix that /first/

@gargron that is too low (120-130/80 would be about normal)

@Gargron I get dizzy a lot this time of year due to allergies, but if you're not prone to those, get checked out. Also, make sure you've had plenty of food and fluids.

@Gargron could be anemia. Better have that checked!

@Gargron I am not a doctor, but I deal with a lot of heart, and previously anxiety problems. Dizziness can occur if your blood pressure drops too quickly, such as when it’s already low and you stand up quickly, and it could be related to what you’re feeling although this seems more long lasting than this would be. Make sure that when you take your BP that you are sitting, back upright, and arm stretched in front of you and roughly at heart level. If it was taken lying down, it could be lower

@thejf thanks! I did that, my pressure was below 110 (107/69). I felt better after eating some salt and sipping some black tea. Also took valerian and it helped with the shaking, i think i really was just panicking about the dizziness

I need to exercise and get out more, sigh

@Gargron No problem! I was concerned, so I’m very glad to hear you’re feeling better! :D

And yeah, I hear you. Exercise is boo though :/ But it does help fine tune this silly biological system, I suppose.

@Gargron you mentioned chest pains above, and anxiety, and I’m thinking that the anxiety could be linked to hypotension (anxiety doesn’t always raise your BP and can lower it) so first make sure you’re taking deep breaths to get good oxygen flowing in. Slowly inhale through nose, hold for a couple of seconds, and slowly exhale through mouth. Repeat for at least 5 minutes and see if that helps bring down anxiety and the dizziness.

@Gargron chest pains do occur with anxiety and muscle pains, but that’s definitely something to watch out for, particularly if you feel numbness or a tingling sensation in your left arm and/or feel pain radiating to your back. You might end up with placebo pain thinking about it, but always err towards caution: if symptoms persist or worsen, get professional medical help! Better to have wasted some time at the hospital than letting an illness go unattended and suffer the consequences.

@Gargron check your blood pressure, probably high

@Gargron
I am also fighting vertigo at the moment (fluid in inner ear, ugh) so you have my sympathies. Hope you feel better soon.

@Gargron I had a stroke and decided to go to bed instead of doctor and I missed the three hour window in which treatment can be effective. Suggest you have a doctor check it out asap.

@gargron i get that all the time. once i passed out just after. now I just get up slowly if needed, or sit back down. i think it's a blood pressure thing

@CobaltVelvet @gargron same here. a medical professional told me i don't have enough salt in my diet (!), fwiw

@gargron Did you forgot to eat? Have you had your allotted amount of fluids?
