Some people missed the point here, and they were all from countries with health care. (shocking)
When your country does not provide health care, the answer isn't "well people shouldn't have to help you".
Saying that health care should be free does exactly nothing to help people who are currently in pain, sick, and dying.
Stop @ me to tell me I'm fucked and people shouldn't help others in their community who are suffering. That's insane.
You missed the point of my post.
@maloki Only hundreds of times.
@GinnyMcQueen yeah, I figured.
Sometimes the wording can make a huge difference though. But I have a feeling you've tried this a lot.
My point was that there are 45,000 people - almost all of which have never paid for any of my content they have watched/used/enjoyed over the years- who could very easily spend $1 and I'd be able to survive.
It wouldn't be charity, it would be people paying for things they consume.
But people are shitty.
The end.
@GinnyMcQueen i totally understand where you are coming from on this. We should all be able to try and view something from someone else point of view and this is actually very logical!
I already wake up to death and rape threats everyday. I'd like to not add anything else negative to the list of things I deal with before 8AM.
This also speaks back to my other thread about why there is no equivalent to trolls that are positive and help people.
Your reason for not helping people in your community should not be "I shouldn't have to".
@GinnyMcQueen but someone will miss you
@condor Explain how that is relevant OR true.
@GinnyMcQueen no relevant or true in mastodon world. Go to the real world to get explanation
@GinnyMcQueen What do you need? I'll send you something. I've got beta blockers and loperamide.
@GinnyMcQueen I assume you've tried this expression:
"We are 45000 people here, if only half of you helped me with $1 a month it would make a huge difference for me, If you want to help but can't give money please like this post and/or share it to your friends, thank you so much"
