Update :
#Trump will support #NorthCarolina GOP Chair Michael Whatley to succeed Ronna McDaniel as the leader of the #RNC…
In addition to the Whatley nod, Trump will also support Lara Trump, the former president’s daughter-in-law, to serve as the RNC’s co-chairwoman.

@GottaLaff
I guess Stephen Miller wasn’t available because he’s too busy getting the concentration camps organized.
@Wileymiller @GottaLaff I am betting on a pay per view event for their Night of the Long Knives.
@Wileymiller @GottaLaff I think he was busy reprising his role of Roark, Jr aka Yellow Bastard in Sin City
@GottaLaff glad to see his nepotism is still thriving.
@GottaLaff At least she will have less time to “sing” now.
@cakemix @GottaLaff
Is that the code word for deep-throating?
@jadugar63 @GottaLaff No, she keeps singing Tom Petty songs against the wishes of the family. Which is bad enough, but her singing skills are lacking.
@cakemix @jadugar63 @GottaLaff I’m guessing you mean against the wishes of Tom Petty’s family? Although against the wishes of her own family would be quite funny
@GottaLaff More nepotism and complacency!
@GottaLaff I need to come up with a NepoBaby song. Possibly to the tune of Santa baby lol
@GottaLaff Now there's a quality team! That's sarcasm btw.
@GottaLaff The grift goes on and the grift goes on…
Basically this amounts to a hostile takeover of the RNC...
And hammers home the final nail in the coffin of the republican party..
They are now full fledged MagaParty... the GOP is officially dead.
Trump will be able to launder party donations directly to his pockets and no funds will be released to those running for office without a full loyalty pledge to trump.
@tdwllms1 Exactly
@tdwllms1 @GottaLaff
I’m beginning to wonder if tRump is NOT dumb as a rock.
He's a mobster and thinks like a mobster... he's stupid, but not dumb, devious... Mary trump has a bit to say on that subject.
And even with a loyalty pledge, there's still no guarantee he'll give them what he pledges, or what they need. He stiffs everybody.
@RuamiGrey @tdwllms1 His loyalty pledges have always and will always be a one way proposition.
He is loyal only to himself.
@tdwllms1 @GottaLaff If there are Non-MAGA Republicans left, they could maybe collectively resign from the House, so the Democrats can replace the speaker?
@tdwllms1 @GottaLaff I know it’s scary to have Trump with so much control, but he has shown an inability to actually win elections. The same type of election deniers who lost in 2022 will be on the ballot top to bottom now. Some will definitely win but for the most part this means that the MAGA GOP will end up losing even more and Trump will bankrupt them on the way.
@tdwllms1 @GottaLaff the grift is the point, yes
"Whither the Republican Party?" is SUCH an interesting question. Will they recover, somehow, once they get over their current pet rock fad? Like, in 10-20 years? Or will they fade into irrelevance like the American Nazi or Green party (good for throwing elections, though, I guess)? Or are we headed truly for ashes and rubble from which will arise new parties? Or is the democratic experiment itself coming to an end?
Maybe "interesting" isn't the best word choice.
All good questions... stagnant is where we don't want to be...this languishing is causing PTSD in all of us... so destined to move in a direction...no one know where though... I hope we can keep the great experiment going... this election will truly tell.
Pretty sure stagnation is not in the cards. For one, change is a constant. For two, demographics ARE changing, at least in terms of us becoming a majority-minority country.
@GottaLaff Now we’ll have Whately’s Red Baiting.
