I have to admit I’m pretty much out of patience with people who try to tell me there’s no difference between the US’s two main political parties.

I’m not starry-eyed about the Democrats, believe me; they’re not perfect, not by a long shot, and they often deserve a heaping helping of criticism. But the GOP has turned into an outright fascist party, and is packed with religious fanatics, anti-science lunatics, and corrupt grifters.

And they need to be defeated.
