9,000 y/o Neolithic stone masks found in Judean desert
these are all good as hell, a worthwhile reminder that we just can't beat the design sense of our ancestors. I love the way the rims of eye sockets & other significant details are modeled, while masses of surface are left almost blank

"Michael & I have lived with these masks for the past 25 years & we love spending quiet hours in our library together surrounded by these evocative works." ๐

I will never purchase hermit crabs because I learned that they're all taken from the wild, they're forced out of their natural shells, and then forced to choose a new painted one that sometimes they're glued into, other times the paint dries with them in it. Cruel practice. I find them cute and I love their natural shells but I don't want to support this horrible practice.
