Any chance someone has an extra #ShmooCon ticket they're willing to sell me?
@dildog Were you the person who posted about the Bosch GluePen at one point?
If so, did you use a transformer or just a different charging cable?

I was among those affected by the layoffs at Cylance, and so am now looking for work. I've been working on my OSCP, and am searching for either a junior penetration testing position, or a blue team position, in NYC or remote.
If I don't find work by the end of the month, I may be open to relocation, but for now, I'm trying to stay in the city. If you know of anyone hiring in my area that you'd recommend working for, please drop me a line here or on Twitter.
So I thought it'd be a cool privacy feature for Mastodon to automatically strip EXIF metadata from photos (e.g. GPS latlong, date, etc.). Turns out Eugen already thought of that! 😁 https://github.com/tootsuite/mastodon/issues/85
I even checked some uploaded photos with ImageMagick; they're all empty! BTW here's the EXIF data from a typical photo I took on my Nexus 5X. I really did have to make the text that small to fit.

So #federation, if I understand it correctly... I think the struggle for me will be which instance / community to choose as my home, especially as more instances spring up.
Do I join an instance for my apartment building? My city? Country? An aspect of current profession or my future work (c#, web, IIoT, CTO, freelance, digital nomad)? One of my hobbies? One of my groups of friends?
By selecting one, I'm missing out on being part of inner conversation on the others, aren't I? Tough choice.
Just Another InfoSec Guy. I used to storm the gates, now I defend the castle. I've also been known to ruck (GRT, Pathfinder 13-241).
