I think I've got to get away from microblogging. I'm not at my best in 140 characters. My thoughts just don't make good singles.

I found myself missing livejournal. I enjoyed long format writing, even if they were just self-indulgent articles. I could just draw out my thoughts.

I'm not able to craft sentence daggers. I'm not that sharp or that mean.

They say album sales died and singles were the only things that sold. Maybe it says something about us nowadays. No time for roses.

Something I've been involved with lately is a project called "Vin Diesel Is Hamlet." You should go check it out! It's pretty fun. It's on twitter at @VINDIESELHAMLET, of course ;)

Having a rough start to my morning.

Sometimes things add up and overwhelm a soul. Taking five to have some self-pity or just dwell, that's sometimes all I can do.

However, the necessary thing is to get up and keep walking towards hope. I understand. It takes courage and a lot of strength, but it has to be done. And it's within me to do, so it's not bad.

I guess I'm saying that times are tough, but they won't be tough forever. Bad nights pave the way to good days.

I've been thinking about this passage from Snow Crash lately. Published in 1992, written by Neal Stephenson.

Back in my livejournal days, I never thought much about malicious users. And when I talk about MUDs, it's always with the nostalgia that users were nice.

Nowadays, everything feels like a security risk, which is biased. I've had great interactions with people online in the recent past. Guess I've just become exhausted lately.

stray thought, I think expunging Twitter is about trying to reclaim mental space from trump. didn't think about this before, but I think that's a factor.
