I understand why, but who wouldn't want to see it?

Fauci on Trump: 'I can't jump in front of the microphone and push him down'

cnn.com/2020/03/23/politics/fa

@IronMan2020 Think of trump in front of a microphone as a grenade that's going to kill us all.

@CaptainAmerica2020 @IronMan2020
That is my favorite line of yours Captain America. Today, I wouldn’t mind be the invisible woman. I would put more fear into them than they have ever known.

@IronMan2020 “While Fauci said he and the President ‘disagree on some things,’ he described Trump as responsive: ‘He goes his own way. He has his own style. But on substantive issues, he does listen to what I say.’”

1. I hope they disagree on more than “some things.”
2. I know Dr. Fauci is in an almost impossible position here as an intelligent person who pulls focus away from trump, but does he really expect us to believe trump listens to anyone unless they have leverage over him?

@IronMan2020 Also, there’s a world full of people who would line up for the chance.

@AgentCarter_SSR2020
It would be a good idea to instruct Dr. Fauci on the ways of the Vulcans when dealing with Mr. Trump.

Either hand is sufficient.

@NatashaRomanova
I think Trump tolerates him more than listens to him.

A NYT story excerpt:

@NatashaRomanova @IronMan2020 Fauci does have some leverage over Trump in that he is a renowned world expert on the single most important issue in Government.

If Trump fires Fauci there will be a wider fallout and the media will focus on what Fauci is saying even more. This is why we are seeing this weird dynamic right now.

@NatashaRomanova @IronMan2020 Even other WH staffers are likely to be worried about the possibility of Trump firing Fauci and be more willing to try to talk him out of it.

@InternetKevin @IronMan2020 That’s true. I was thinking of leverage in terms of blackmail or some similar threat, but fair point.

@NatashaRomanova @IronMan2020 Last night either
Rachel Maddow or Lawrence O'Donnell reported that Fauci gave "no comment" answers in an interview about whether he was facing criticism from the White House.

@IronMan2020
Ah, I would. Yell Fire, he will be the first out the door.
