This past week, GDPR (Garrett Did Privacy Revamping). Glad that's over and the new privacy policies are now all in place.

Thankfully, nothing was really complex.

The biggie of my GDPR prompted privacy policy pushes was for the Cockpit Project.

It is this document:
cockpit-project.org/privacy.ht

(It's a lot of text to say we don't track you or collect any data, except if we ask you about it personally, and then it's just contact info. Also, third parties exist and we notify you about it. And we don't set cookies.)

I also did changes to my personal sites that are much less complex. (I really don't want anyone's personal data.)

BTW, if you haven't already, you really need to update your own personal websites / blogs with a #GDPR privacy policy.

Other people's comments count as personal info if they contain names, email addresses, IP addresses, and/or website links.

You also need to make third party services known. This includes images and videos that are hosted elsewhere, CDNs, and server hosts.

There needs to be a way for someone to contact to remove personal info too.

@garrett Is there a quick guide or something like it for simple, personal websites to comply?

@K_REY_C This is a pretty good GPDR explainer in normal human words: gdprexplained.eu/

@garrett I also found this for Wordpress' "Jetpack" -- which is interesting: jetpack.com/support/for-your-p
