@mairin -- can you point me to any resources about generating vector images in #inkscape (maybe) via #python or #bash #scripting? At the moment I'm just trying to do something simple to get my bearings (maybe place text over a pre-existing image), but later on I'd like to build grids with vector lines and add other elements within. Is there a resource or guide or anything you're aware of?
ahh, let me think. ive never generated svg thru inkscape from scratch, usually set up an svg in inkscape with ids and use python to manipulate svg DOM using those IDs and using png export in script. i wrote a python script that does this for the old "fedora released in X days" graphics. will dig, its probably on wiki or smtg. sec...
