Denmark is testing video calls on 112. You call, they send an ambulance. You receive an SMS with a link to an encrypted video call. A doctor will assist you in helping while waiting for the ambulance to arrive.

@KasperNymand do we really need video calls for that? Is audio really not sufficient?

Thinking especially if you have bad net and then you need to load some time for the stream, I guess this would be realy bad…

@rugk Well, Denmark has nationwide stable 4G networks. So, speed and reliability is not really a problem. The idea is really that you can have a doctor with you at the spot (with their eyes) and assist you. See how many people are around to help, coordinate, send important information to the ambulance on the way and the hospital receiving the patient. Remember, the initial emergency call is still just a regular phone call. Sometimes every second counts.
