They do indeed seem resonant (maybe not so surprising, as many of the CLTC folks are old friends/colleagues). That said, the Civil Discourse scenarios reflect the concerns of the people who built them-- so as one moves from describing the futures toward implications, the Civ Disc scenarios begin to diverge (or maybe better said, acquire a more idiosyncratically-specific specific focus).
