I didn't know him beyond what he shared with the Tetris community, but he just seemed like a really good guy. He was instrumental in shaping one of my happy places on the Internet. And this morning that feels like a lot.

For several years I have been watching the Classic Tetris World Championship. I'm not a gamer & I used to say that I had never graduated from Tetris. That was before seeing what these people can do with the game.
That community seemed so pleasant. Everyone pulling everyone else up.
A figure of the community Jonas Neubauer just passed away unexpectedly. He was a seven time world champion & recently his playstyle had been surpassed by a new generation, but he was handling it with incredible grace.

It was a very weird Christmas, but I am thankful for the people around me.

This is the first time I set a Christmas tree in my house. Any normal year I leave for France mid-December and come back early January. So there isn't really a need to decorate our place.

I need a good Sci Fi book that is recent (for a gift). My target has read a lot of classic and modern sci Fi but I feel confident he wouldn't have read something that was published in the last year or so.

Zizi Jeanmaire died today and I don't want to be sad. She was 96 and is afforded an incredible legacy. But I want to take the time to acknowledge this incredible dancer. She inspired me so much as teenager.
