We watched the unhappy vampire through the store door.
"Should I invite him? They can only enter if invited."
"We have a large 'Welcome in' sign. He's invited."
"So why isn't he coming in?"
"Automatic door. The camera can't see him."
"Oh. Accessibility fail."
"Yeah. Go open it."


I feel like impatient vampires who couldn't see staff or had just gotten fed up with places that only had visible spectrum sensors would eventually learn the trick of wedging the door a bit open; during operating hours it'll trigger the same "open door properly" activity, AFAICT. (At least with every door I tried as a kid after it closed because of my height.)
