"I see you have a new jumper," the robot said.
"Like it?"
"I can not judge fashion."
"Well, I like big jumpers, they hide my shape."
The robot froze. "You want your shape hidden?"
"Haha, yes-"
"My radar... Erasing data now."
"You don't need-"
"Data without consent is... Wrong."

"Data without consent is... Wrong."

This is so perfect.

@temporal @MicroSFF seems like a potentially contorted mind, i wonder how that could go wrong.

@temporal @MicroSFF lol can't help but think about this in some context maybe just post technocalypse, and about to be liberated by vec freedom activists. With some story where this contortion festers and somehow comes to a head.

@MicroSFF Aww, I love this!
That is one thing I've actually wondered about some. With how privacy invasive technology already is, what will AIs be like? How will they handle all the piles of data they will collect as they create friendships with people?
Because it would be an invasion of their personal rights to force them to delete some things. But their personality (at least at first) would depend heavily on the people who built them. Would those big tech people want to teach them that data without consent is wrong?
Or would people have to avoid robots despite perhaps wanting to be friends with them, just because they were living and walking Google Homes?
