I leave for a while because this place is almost as toxic for me than Twitter is and I had to come back when something big just happened / is happening in the US... yikes. Why don’t more people CW political stuff? To compare it to something I and a lot of people have had personal experience with; it’d be like if I, as a self-identified queer person, decided that it’s okay to call other LGBT+ people by that identifier even if they don’t like it.

Both ‘black’ and ‘queer’ are words that some people in their respective group dislike, so it’s their choice to use it or not. Personal identity is very important, & trying to take that away is very harmful.

In the Terry segment, Wendy hears him label himself “African American” and clearly doesn’t like it, saying that “we are ‘black’” — but she’s wrong.

Yes, YOU may be ‘black’, but these are personal descriptors; different labels to describe someone’s personal identity. His just so happens to be “African American”.

These descriptors are used by everyone with an identity, and they’re something personal that you simply cannot have an opinion on. Period.

@MissKeiko Before anyone says anything; I’m NOT saying the artist isn’t allowed to up their prices. I think they need to up their prices a lot more, to be honest. Especially since they’re literally less than a dollar’s worth of virtual currency.
