I'm kinda exited that @Mojeek is trying to challange the unchallangeble Google. It seems their recent push to find a viable way to make money in the search space has landend on a vary reasonable stance: Ads are not the fundamental problem. The fundamental problem is tracking.

Google has backed down massively. It is now signing deals with Australian news media to pay for their content. The Australian government, by refusing to give in to threats by Google, has created a worldwide precedent.
