The south side of my city finally has bike lanes going from uptown to midtown. It's about a mile, terminating at the trendy queer neighborhood/restaurant district. It also goes past the big park in the center of the city. The north side had a long bike lane for years.
For two years there was an uptown bike lane that only ran for THREE BLOCKS. Nobody used it because it couldn't get you anywhere. Since it's been extended, I've seen other people in the bike lanes every time I use them
