@snder In Spain an editorial released 1,500 books in a plaza to bookcross. 48 hours later all they had disappeared. There are certain initiatives from other countries that here are unfeasible

@roysmeding @Neshama Some farmers in the Netherlands also sell some stuff on the street in front of their home. People can put money in a box and take for example the potato’s :flan_stars: It’s all based on trust in each other

@snder it sounds good

I was there some years ago. I fell in love with the area. But complicated to go there to live...

@roysmeding

@Neshama @roysmeding If you want a 'regular' and 'basic' life the Netherlands is perfect. Pretty stable environment to grow up and learn. But before I die I 'NEED' to change some things in this world. And there for you need lots of money. So I need to get rich one way or the other.. And believe me, in the Netherlands they don't 'allow' you to get rich.

@snder @Neshama that's an extremely weird way of looking at things.

the main problem with .nl imo is it's liberal as hell. even the "socialist party" seems to have forgotten what socialism actually means and has just become a slightly racist social democratic party

@snder @Neshama the problem isn't that they won't "let" you be rich, the rich wouldn't let you either (they'd just do that through other means). the problem is that they've cut off other ways to effect change than being rich. the poldermodel is fucking toxic; the truth is not in the middle.

@roysmeding @snder totally agree with you. and I think it's because of a tremendous lack of political and democratic education. In Spain we have a party that claims to be "center" and is quite capitalist (and has governed several years, has been a step back in many civil rights). others who claim to be center and are rather fascist. the one that claims to be a socialist, that is a light capitalist and a communist party that they will never let go to power. ->

@roysmeding @snder the capitalists and the rich have controlled the media and people create arguments that do not make sense. to give you an idea, these days some politicians are complaining that they will raise taxes to the working middle class. Only those who charge at least 130,000 euros a year are added. the average salary is 26,000. ->

Follow

@roysmeding @snder However, many uninformed people who have been repeatedly told that they are middle class are indignant with the party in the government because they raise taxes. man, if you earn 15000 euros a year you are not middle class. you are a low class worker, as we are the great majority, and you are giving them the right to continue to exploit you ... without knowledge there is no possibility of diminishing the difference between classes ...

@roysmeding @snder Well, sorry for the talk and the grammatical errors. I have to clean the house a little. I'll come back later

🙂
