Recommend me some mastodon #instances since I'm on this one mainly because it was the first I knew of and never had a strong reason to leave... but... well, so many people are moving to other ones I figure I should at least consider it or find out why?
@Nezumi One reason to try another instance is to see the local culture of other instances.
For example:
- dev.glitch.social has a bunch of devs
- elekk.xyz is for gaming
- mathstodon.xyz has math
- niu.moe has anime
Another reason is that the timelines on mastodon.social move too quickly (i.e. drinking from a fire hose) for some people because it's the flagship instance and everyone is on it; if you want timelines that are slower you can consider other instances.
