Those algorithm and moderation features on Bluesky that @mmasnick mentions here sound really dope. In particular I like the idea of being able to switch from friend to news-heavy algos, and the fact-checking subscriptions. @derpoltergeist @mmasnick the next step of mastodom should be open source algos. Like a market place where ppl can share them and you can decide. I think that would be really amazing.
@PewPewMiau @derpoltergeist i agree that would be huge for mastodon, so I hope it comes to that. Though, a year ago people on here were harassing anyone who wanted algorithms until they left the fediverse entirely.
