I have such an addictive personality wrt . Rogue Legacy is no exception. The controller support means I just get angrier.

@PinkCathodeCat tell me about it. up until 5am playing unexplored yesterday. I feel it comes in waves and I just grind one game until my roguelike itch is scratched.

@0x3F ugh, I regret ever buying it. I think it's burned out of me now.

@PinkCathodeCat rogue legacy? Do you think you'll pick up another one?

@0x3F this is not my first rogue like. I go back to nethack every so often. :) I'm not very good at it though. and I'm complaining but I just feel guilty for playing games when I should be productive.

@PinkCathodeCat i never really got into net hack. It's really hard. What other roguelikes do you enjoy?

@0x3F nethack is the main one that I enjoy :) but I've never beaten it -- the latest edition (3.4) is way too hard. Some of the forks such as Nethack Fourk add cool mechanics like avoiding sokoban luck penalties. (I fucking hate Sokoban, it's the worst)

It all started with Diablo 2 in my childhood. At least that's what I'm blaming.

What ones do you like?

@PinkCathodeCat i play some dcss, quite a bit of brogue and then some roguelites(?) like isaac, spelunky, teleglitch and now unexplored. The almost unending complexity and difficulty are what capture me the most.

I really want to play diablo2 but I don't have any friends to play with and single player doesn't sound great.

@0x3F dcss is super hard! I don't know the other ones apart from brogue.

Diablo ii single player holds up really well, it's a very timeless game.

@PinkCathodeCat yeah the others arent traditional roguelikes but they're still a lot of fun and pretty hard.

Hmm, maybe I will try out the single player. I've just heard that multi-player is legendary.

@0x3F but rogue legacy is actually pretty good. I'm being Dramatic, as always.

@PinkCathodeCat I enjoyed my time with that game. I know what you mean about being productive though. It's literally my life right now too. They have this way of sucking me in that is rarely captured by other games. I love dungeon crawlers.
