Murmuration.

From latin "Murmuratio", for murmur, whisper.

"Starlings returning to their winter roost in a swirl after feeding. A starling flock like this is called a murmuration, a word that perfectly describes the rustle of thousands of pairs of wings."

Beautiful. Mesmerising maths in the wild.

A piece of paper is shoved under your apartment door one afternoon. Confused, you get up to investigate. The words "can you help me?" are scrawled on it, in red marker pen. It looks like your handwriting.

Meals based on vegetable protein sources (beans and peas) are more satiating than meals based on animal protein sources (veal and pork) - a randomized cross-over meal test study

@codewiz Very interesting. It may be worth mentioning that it appears to be the fibre content that determines satiety here.

Protein from Meat or Vegetable Sources in Meals Matched for Fiber Content has Similar Effects on Subjective Appetite Sensations)

From Neil Gaiman, 2/2 :

"(...)
So that's my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody's ever made before. Don't freeze, don't stop, don't worry that it isn't good enough, or it isn't perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life.

Whatever it is you're scared of doing, Do it.

Make your mistakes, next year and forever."

From Neil Gaiman, 1/2 :

"I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes.

Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You're doing things you've never done before, and more importantly, you're Doing Something.

@jolteon@elekk.xyz same here. Especially with the nice little carry case that it comes with. Only problem with the cordless is that it lacks power to punch through concrete or masonry. You'll want a simple but powerfull perforator (hammer drill ?) on the side. I got one for 40€, way too heavy, but it will punch clean through anything.

@grant @knownrobes its from the Bible, Luke 12. God provides for the ravens so (that implies that) He will provide for us (since we, humans, are considered to be the most superior and valuable species of the creation).

Just a cool video. It's old but a nice one to watch again. Instead of making waves, make a ripple.

Dear web developers and admins,
please stop embedding Google's hideous #ReCaptcha into your websites. Its algorithm is faulty, forcing regular users to click dozens or even hundreds of fire hydrants, bicycles, or traffic lights each day. It puts a 'suspicious activity' flag on users who won't obey to Google's business model - such as people who don't sign into Chrome, use anonymity VPNs, or use browser extensions to suppress common tracking mechanisms. Enough is enough. Stop it.

If you dont know this band yet, you are in for a treat. This piano re-version of the classic 2000's Sophtware slump is really nice.
